With Slow Coffee by Keiji Takeuchi, Alessi proposes an innovative exploration of coffee preparation methods through percolation, which completely preserves the sensory and organoleptic qualities of coffee. Consisting of a coffee grinder, a carafe and a filter holder with filter, preparing coffee from fresh beans grinding through slow percolation means transforming a daily routine into a special experience.

Slow Coffee invites a small daily ritual marked by a calm rhythm, a break from the frenetic pace that characterises our days. An object with a minimalist design that conceals careful attention to functional details, from the choice of materials used to make the grinder, carafe, filter holder and filter, to the shape of the spout and handles, to the carefully calibrated dimensions of all the elements.

Keiji Takeuchi was born in Fukuoka, Japan, but spent most of his youth in New Zealand, where he studied product design. He worked for Naoto Fukasawa in Tokyo and later moved to Milan to set up Naoto’s European office. He established his studio in Milan in late 2015.
