Initially designed by the Castiglioni brothers in 1962 as a promotional item for Kraft Foods. The spoon has 2 edges: a curved profile for rounded jars such as mayonnaise or a straighter profile for jam jars or for other sticky foods, etc. Sleek is a small and brilliant design object which enables one to use all of the food contents in the jar.
Kraft Foods USA was launching mayonnaise to the Italian market, a then not common Italian food staple, and it needed a promotional item to help encourage Italians to try Kraft's product.
