This French Carafe set shines on every tray and on each table. This set consists of a large carafe with 4 small 16 cl glasses. The small glasses fit onto the neck of the carafe. With this set in one hand and a cheese board or snack tray in the other, you only have to walk back and forth once before you can sit down and enjoy the company of your guests.
Duralex has been manufacturing tempered glassware since 1945. Ideal for both hot and cold drinks, these stackable, impact- and chip-resistant glasses feel very comfortable in your hand and can be used in the microwave or freezer.
In 1945, Duralex invented the glass tempering process, a manufacturing method that produces virtually unbreakable glassware. The procedure involves heating the glass to around 1292 degrees Fahrenheit, then cooling it quickly with cold air ventilation. Known as the “original French tumblers", Duralex Glasses are timeless icons of designs. Since their founding, Duralex has produced all of their products in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, in the heart of France.
The original Duralex Picardie is the quintessential French bistro glass and has been copied by numerous drinking glass manufacturers. The Picardie is used throughout France in cafes and is the primary tumbler in French homes.
