Fancy Cup Set / Set of 6
Sculptural / Ergonomic Cup Set
Masahiro Mori 1969 for Hakusan Porcelain Co. Japan 1970
Porcelain
(H 4.5" x Ø 2 5/8")
The Fancy Cup Set was designed in 1969 by Masahiro Mori and was introduced by Hakusan in 1970. The set features thin and light cups with 6 unique shapes that enhance the beauty of the glossy and smooth porcelain material. Each of the bold, sculptural shapes and reliefs are visually exciting on their own and the tactile nature of each cup provides a novel experience.
The varying shapes provide an ergonomic function for ease when holding the cup. Ideal for cold (or warm) drinks due to the thin and fine porcelain. The cups may also be used as a vase or design object for your living space. Made in Japan.
The Fancy Cup Set is an elegant and special gift for all those memorable occasions.

My Design Philosophy
"My pleasure as a designer is to conceive of forms for daily use,
and to create pieces for production in the factory,
so that many people can appreciate and enjoy using them."
